In Person Healing Session
Distance healing is a concept that often sparks curiosity and skepticism. In a world accustomed to physical presence in healing modalities—from doctor visits to chiropractic care—the idea of a connection formed across geographical space can be challenging to grasp. Yet, at its heart, distance healing is a profound exploration of connection and inner reality.
This article dispels common doubts by exploring the philosophy and practice of distance healing, moving beyond physical notions to the deeper, unseen dimensions of wellness
Understanding the Spectrum of Healing
To appreciate what distance healing is, it helps to first distinguish it from other in-person modalities.
Energy Healing
An in-person energy healing session typically involves a client lying fully clothed on a table. The session begins with a discussion to establish a clear purpose and focus. During the healing itself, the practitioner may use light, non-invasive touch near the joints and chakra points of the body, but there is no verbal exchange. The focus is on facilitating the flow of energy and promoting balance within the body’s subtle energy systems.
Shamanic Healing
An in-person shamanic session is a spiritual practice that can be a powerful way to reconnect with deeper levels of self-awareness that may have been forgotten or lost over time. The approach can vary greatly, with the client lying on a table or even on the floor. The session may involve drumming, rattling, or chanting to facilitate the journeying process.
In practices like Soul Retrieval, the shamanic practitioner aims to recover parts of the soul that have been lost or sealed off due to trauma or other significant life events, bringing them back for healing and integration.
The Philosophy of Distance Healing

The essence of a distance healing session is the establishment of a virtual connection between the client and healer. While this may seem impossible from a purely physical perspective, it is rooted in a fundamental principle: the interconnectedness of all things.
Quantum Entanglement: This process can be described through the lens of quantum entanglement, a phenomenon where two particles remain connected regardless of the distance between them.
Physicist Brian Cox explains quantum physics in 22 minutes
In distance healing, the entanglement occurs with a force far greater than oneself—the Greater Reality. The healer serves as the initiator and bridge, while the client actively participates by opening themselves to this deeper connection.
The Problem of Distance: The word “distance” often carries a sense of discord, detachment, or separation—whether it’s physical distance, mental withdrawal, or a spiritual disconnect. The true challenge lies not in geographical distance, but in the internal distance between one’s ordinary self (the consciousness of consensual reality) and one’s Core Spiritual Self. This inner gap can be a source of unease and a lack of fulfillment.
The Microcosm and Macrocosm: Ancient wisdom traditions have long described the human being as a microcosm—a miniature universe that contains all the elements and powers of the larger macrocosm. A powerful spiritual healing journey involves aligning one’s limited earthly understanding with this vast, cosmic power source.
The Process and Potential of a Distance Healing Session
During a distance healing session, the healer engages with the client on a subtle, non-physical level through intent.
My experience in shamanic work is not one of “doing” the healing myself, but of witnessing the process.
In a lucid, meditative space, I observe the Divine guiding of a healing process with the client. This is a crucial distinction: the healer is a facilitator, not the source of the healing itself.
The goal of distance healing is to bridge the inner gap between the ordinary self and the Higher Self. The spiritual transformation occurs in the resolution of this internal disconnect.
This healing is a journey of self-discovery—and ultimately, the healer can only guide the client as far as they themselves have gone and as far as the client is able or ready to go in that particular moment.
“Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity.”
Hippocrates
